I am grateful for the opportunity to serve God through our new young adult ministry. I first began serving in our youth ministry in high school, from which I have stepped away since my 2nd year of college. Now a 24 year old grad student, I have realized the challenges many young adults are faced with - persevering in our love for the Lord in a world that is deeply wounded. Through this ministry, I hope that many can find their strength for perseverance in the foundation of our being: Jesus Christ.
I am blessed to serve God through our new young adult ministry, Harbor. For years, I have been involved in ministry, serving as the Confirmation Director for three years and the Youth Minister for one year. Throughout this time, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside the youth in their journey of faith helping plant that mustard seed of faith in their hearts and witnessing them grow in their love for Christ. I’ve also seen the challenges that come with carrying that faith into adulthood. From being top in sales to going back to college, I understand firsthand how easy it is to feel disconnected or overwhelmed in a world that often pulls us away from God. My hope for this ministry is to create a space within our community for young adults to continue to nurture that mustard seed faith as they transition into this next stage of life. Further deepening our relationship with God embracing the mission of evangelization as disciples who make disciples.
Just as fishermen were called to become fishers of men, we, too, are called to share the Gospel and bring others to Christ. At Harbor, we recognize that our calling to evangelize begins with learning from God’s Word and growing together in faith. As young adults, we are navigating a world filled with challenges, questions, and opportunities. As a harbor is a place where vessels find shelter, our ministry is a place where we anchor ourselves in Scripture, support one another, and prepare to go out and share the Good News. Harbor’s mission is to bring the young adults of our community closer in their relationship with God through the sacraments, driven by prayer, scripture, and connection. Ages 18-39 Welcome
